Officer Fife

has gone from feeling blue:

To sheer happiness:

Barney asked. Thelma Lou said yes. We couldn’t be happier.

You oughta see the ring.
And for the record it all began with Shakespeare.

Oh, Cindy, I’m so happy I could cry! I can hardly imagine the excitement you and Karen (oh, and Tim and Joe as well) must be feeling! And to think, I believe I was actually there for their first meeting. Was I possibly instrumental in that meeting? Hmmm?

The ring picture will be forthcoming when I get home.
Linda, I thought that after I gave the bard all the credit I should have mentioned you.
Linda gets all the credit for introducing the Wey family to the Rollins family many years ago.
As a matter of fact, Linda has introduced me to almost all of my friends. She is a good friend picker. She is a good church picker, too.

Congratulations to Barney, Thelma Lou and to both families. What a time to rejoice!!! Now there will be another “Copper’s Wife” out there

Congratulations!
Please tell their story.
Comment by Kelly (November 8, 2006 @ 1:30 pm )
Aw, shucks. I wasn’t looking for credit! It had actually just dawned on me when you mentioned that it all started with Shakespeare, and I thought, “Wow. Didn’t I take the Wey’s over to the Rollins (Rollinses?) for the first time for our Shakespeare class??” Exciting times! As I like to tell my children, you never know when and where you’ll meet the person you’re going to marry!

Awww…that’s the kind of news I like to hear. Forget about all that depressing stuff on CNN, etc. And when Janet was wondering about the ring, I was wondering about the Shakespeare ;-). I’m glad that is cleared up.
Looking forward to hearing about the wedding plans!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!We are rejoicing over the good news. You must share with us how or where Barney proposed “the question”. It’s so romantic. I’m so excited for your family.
Love to all

Many heartfelt congratulations to your family, Cindy. When I offered to show the happy couple’s picture to my daughter, all the kids came running to see; there is nothing like the expectation of happiness we feel like that from the anticipation of a Christian marriage.
Mabruuk! (Congratulations, or literally, “with blessing)
