Too funny, Cindy! Great picture.

Cindy,
I remember that picture! It is a classic.

Cindy,
I have had over thirty more hits than usual today at my blog and they’ve all originated from your site. You even got me a new country for my collection–thanks so much!

Wow, those guys are really good looking.

What a cute idea.

Hey, Patti,
Thanks for not pointing out my your, you’re mistake. I need to read my own blog more often!
Comment by Cindy (October 2, 2006 @ 10:33 pm )
I don’t know, Cindy. I keep reading the title as “Men in Tights”.
Nice picture!

Names…well, I guess not, oh well!
I will have to take a recent one…my guys like to wear ties, too! We just don’t take many pictures.
That’s a lovely girl, Barney’s got over there on his site. Praying for that.

Thank-you, Margaret. They are old family friends so that makes it even more special and she is as sweet as she looks and she is going to help me cook so life is good.
I guess Thanksgiving is on my mind a lot because I had a nightmare last night. I was cooking and everything was going wrong and then about the time we were supposed to eat I remembered I had to make the rolls and all the while I was trying to be calm .

Cindy, would it be offensive to you if I said your son second from the left looks like Elvis to me in that picture?
(I don’t mean that as a negative comment at all.) They are all really handsome young men! This tie photo-meme is a great idea.
Comment by Ruthanne (October 3, 2006 @ 7:13 am )
Elvis ???? I think it must be the sneer. He was actually hamming it up for the picture. I think he was trying to look tough, though, but I will let him know he achieved the Elvis look instead
Comment by Cindy (October 3, 2006 @ 7:43 am )
LOL. I knew I was being risky saying that! I do see that tough look. Actually they all look like good protectors of the ladies.
Comment by Ruthanne (October 3, 2006 @ 7:55 am )
I knew you knew the difference, Cindy. I did debate about whether I should tell you though.:-)
I take it Barney must be one of your sons?
Comment by Patti (October 3, 2006 @ 8:04 am )
Barney (not his real name) is the first and tallest in the picture but the 2nd in age. He has a blog but we try to keep him a little bit anonymous because he is a police officer. We call him Barney for obvious reasons although sometimes Bertie would also fit.
The picture goes Barney , James, Nathaniel, Timothy.
Comment by Cindy (October 3, 2006 @ 8:22 am )
Uh, wouldn’t that be Barney, Elvis, Nathaniel, and Timothy?? (Elvis is the cutest one!)
Comment by Linda (October 3, 2006 @ 12:06 pm )
Elvis, cute?
Comment by Cindy (October 3, 2006 @ 12:15 pm )
Uh oh, so maybe my comment *was* offensive after all!
Hey, I thought Elvis was very handsome in his younger years before he became overweight and sloppy from drugs, alcohol and fame.
So I was really intending that as a compliment. (I would certainly not have written it if I meant otherwise!) I hope James will please forgive me if I’ve embarrassed him. :S
Comment by Ruthanne (October 3, 2006 @ 12:56 pm )
You can’t embarrass James, Ruthanne. Christopher or Nathaniel might blush but when it comes to attention James’s motto is, “Bring it on.”
Comment by Cindy (October 3, 2006 @ 2:11 pm )
Makes me miss my boys.
They are far away.
Enjoy your handsome young men!

My three oldest are far away also: one in Pennsylvania, one in Indiana, and one in Oregon. But it is nice for me to know (even if it is through the internet) of moms going through the same thing. I’m looking forward to the next stages in life….even if it means I might have to do a lot of traveling.:-)
