I just got a new printer which scans. My old scanner would not scan in color anymore. Now I can scan all those old photos and blog nostalgically. This is a picture of the last time I got the boys in matching outfits. I mean the very last time. When the lady behind us in church squealed, “Look at all the yellow duckies,” I knew an era had ended. You can see Timothy was not happy and that was before we went to church. I think he wanted to be a SEAL to make up for the humiliation. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted.

Adorable! I think it’s so funny that we both tried the same thing- and we used the same color! My girls don’t really mind matching. They just all hated yellow.
Of course, one of them would be happy if they could all wearing matching just so long as it’s pink, and another wouldn’t be caught dead in pink, only blues and tans, and another thinks those are all drap or insipid and prefers scarlets and crimsons….
I keep trying for clones and God keeps giving me people.;-D

Such a handsome group….
I well remember those days….it was just plain more efficient to dress them alike. Plus I consider it a security issue. It helped me keep up with them!! And then, there was the Sunday, when an elder approached….noticing one daughter was dressed *differently* He queried about *rebellion in the ranks* Ha! All in the fun a rearing children.
Feeling rather nostalgic myself,

Oh, how precious ! Memories, memories of those little fellas.Remember when I got lost in the woods with 6 of them? After walking around in circles and the oldest and I each thinking the other was joking, when we descovered we really were lost and it would soon get dark we held hands and prayed and then we heard water falling and we got our bearings.
God is faithful!

How cute. I always loved dressing like my sisters. Unfortunately I now have a boy and girl and I cant dress them alike. I love the whole idea!

I’m still getting away with dressing them alike but I know it will end soon. This past Easter and the week after, everybody was coordinated, including the girl with a dress in the same hue as the boys’ shirts and the parents in similar colors. One lady at church was quite impressed and I explained that both grandmothers had sent all the kids clothes to wear to church on Easter Sunday, so we had to take 2 group photos to send them. I just didn’t say “Here we are on Easter Sunday”, instead, I said, “Here we are in the clothes you sent.”

That is too cute! Back when I only had Philip and Alyssa and we lived right outside of Chicago, I had to dress them up all the time to please the Italian in-laws. One year Philip just totally rebelled and refused to wear the cute little outfit with a jacket, shirt, tie, and shorts. He said it made him look “geeky”. Since he was only around four at the time I suspected someone must have called him that. He still refuses to look “geeky” and the only time he’s worn a tie in recent memory was to my grandmother’s funeral. He did wear long pants though.

Cindy,
Love the picture!!! I still like the challenge of using subtle tones and hues of coordinating colours and patterns to create a unified family photo. Ha…Ha…Ha…I’m still working on that one.Your family has always looked handsome and I do remember the Sundays when they had received wonderful clothes from loving grandparents. I did stumble upon the blogs from your guys and occasionally I’ll try to check them out. “Hello” to all. Love, Terri
